Hello! My name is Katrina, but I mostly go by Kat.
I have always had a love for medicine and sports, and dreamed of becoming a sports physician. It was during my experiences as a Health and Human sciences major in Loyola Marymount University that I discovered my future in physical therapy. I continued my education in California State University, Long Beach where I received my doctoral degree in physical therapy. Thereafter, I continue to be a lifelong student to the development of exercise medicine and the discovery of the human body.
Being a collaborative partner of a patient’s journey in rehabilitation, and helping them return to their own passions forms the driving force for my career. From working in a hospital-based rehabilitation with clinic as well as practicing in multiple outpatient sports orthopedic clinics, I have had the pleasure of working with a variety of patient populations and their various injuries / post surgical care. I am fascinated by how physical therapy can help improve the human experience in each and every stage of one’s recovery. I strive to blend both Eastern and Western treatment styles with my practice to care for my patients in a more holistic manner. I believe wholeheartedly in treating the mind, body, and spirit as each of these dimensions play an integral part in our recovery.
I am an avid fan for all sports, and continue to enjoy playing them with family and friends. My favorite sport is basketball, and am inspired by Kobe Bryant’s “Mamba mentality”. Whether it is hiking outdoors, playing on the court, or any other game for that matter, I love to maintain an active lifestyle. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling to immerse myself in new cultures, try new foods and meet new people, and explore the wonders of the world around us.
I look forward to meeting you and collaborating together to help you unlock your fullest rehab and fitness potential.
