I had the good fortune of working with Kat about a year and a half ago. I had a bad fall while trail running and tore my triceps tendon, which was subsequently surgically repaired. The surgery was deemed a success, however, once I began attending the required physical therapy for rehabilitation, I was unable to move my elbow, and basically couldn't use my arm. I attended physical therapy that was approved by my insurance, and consistently experienced pain and minimal results. Eventually, my physical therapist said that I would likely need another surgery, and that it would likely be painful, as they would need to physically manipulate my elbow to make it move again. I recall leaving that appointment in tears, feeling quite helpless and hopeless. On a whim, I decided to go outside of my insurance to a physical therapy office near my home. I was assigned to Kat, who worked there at the time, and immediately felt at ease with her. I found her to be extremely knowledgeable and to have a very calm and caring energy. I explained my situation, and she agreed to work with me. When I told her that the other physical therapist had said I would likely need another surgery, she thought it was too early to tell whether that was the case. She emphasized the importance of me not feeling pain, and regularly checked in to make sure that I was not in pain. I was able to achieve a relaxed state while she worked on my arm, and this had not been my experience previously. Kat utilized a variety of methods, including massage and cupping, and always kept the exercise portion new and interesting. She made a point of providing pictures and descriptions of the exercises we worked on so that I could do them at home as well. She suggested other things to try for my ongoing swelling, including ice, elevation, wearing a compression sleeve, and acupuncture, all of which proved helpful. Within a couple of months of working with her on a twice weekly basis, I was able to touch my hand to my face again, and by the end of working with her, I was beginning to do yoga poses and other exercises that required strength and flexibility. I wholeheartedly recommend Kat for physical therapy. I found it absolutely worthwhile to pay out of pocket to work with her, as she got me back on the road to my pre-surgical state, and helped me to avoid undergoing a second surgery. When I think back to that very difficult period of recovery, working with Kat was a bright point The combination of her expertise, calm energy, positive attitude, caring, and professionalism made all the difference in my recovery. I feel such gratitude for Kat and for the instrumental role she played in my rehabilitation.

I am a former collegiate athlete, a marathon runner, cyclist, duathlete, and hopefully a triathlete one day. I push myself to preform at the highest level and do not compromise when it comes to my injuries or performance care. Katrina, is a professional who understands how to work with athletes. I trust no one more when I have an injury or need to work on a muscle group. She gets it - her knowledge base is vast and as a former athlete herself, she understands how to carefully treat an injury without taking you out of the game, so to speak. She will personally work on you with how to continue training in an appropriate way while also introducing new exercises to prevent future injuries. Most importantly, she treats the injury at its root cause so it doesn't reoccur. Katrina takes her time to explain and answer any questions, I couldn't recommend her enough!!

My daughter (swimmer's knee) and myself (piriformis syndrome) both worked with Kat in a clinical setting and we can't speak highly enough about the treatment we received. Kat is dedicated to providing her patients with a path that will lead to long-term success in their rehabilitation. For student athletes like my daughter, Kat emphasized the importance injury prevention and focused on exercises that would balance repetitive stresses from primary sports. She was relatable and made rehab appointments something that my daughter looked forward to. Throughout our work with Kat, she was constantly evaluating and asking questions to determine the efficacy of treatment. She was thorough and thoughtful in her care. We'd recommend Kat without reservation and are sure she will do great things in the Bay Area.

Kat was one of the best physical therapists/ trainers I have worked with. As a former D1 soccer player and professional soccer player she helped me numerous times recover from injuries and then get me back to full fitness. I was very impressed with the exercises she included in my plan to get 100% fit. I can't thank her enough for all her professional help.

Kat was great working with my knee replacement . She took the time to explain the why and how for each procedure and I know my healing would not have been as fast and as complete without her.

Kat has helped me with a variety of my high school sports injuries, mainly concerning my ankle. Whether it was helping me recover from a sprained ankle or an ankle surgery, Kat is an excellent PT! All of the exercises we went through were clear, concise, and effective. Along with that, she created a safe, friendly, and comfortable environment that made going to PT enjoyable and fun, instead of a boring chore. I went from being in complete isolation in a boot after my surgery, to being able to walk and run within a brief amount of time (I would say around 2 months, while I only saw her 1-2x per week). In addition to helping me recover from my ankle injuries, she helped me condition for the upcoming volleyball season by incorporating exercises that not only strengthened my ankle, but other parts of my body that are mainly used in the sport (such as knees, core, and hips). Although I worked with her in a clinic setting, I strongly believe that her knowledge and consideration directly translate to an outpatient setting. Despite the fact that we live on opposite sides of the state, I wouldn't want anyone else to be my PT!

Dr. Kat has been a wonderful PT for my 16 y/o son. She worked with him for 2 years with various ailments ACL strain and Swimmer's shoulder (he's a competitive swimmer with both a private club and high school). She showed us various exercises/stretches and explained why he needs to do these. Dr. Kat provided a homework packet so he knew exactly what to work on at home. She is professional with her time and attitude. On a personal note, she patiently answered all my "worried Mom" questions with clear explanations. We would definitely work with her again! Thank goodness For Katrina! My husband and I work out regularly and often need that "tune up" to keep us going. Since our schedules are so busy it makes it convenient that she comes to our home. She brings all the things she needs to work on us as if we were in the office with her. From the table to her cupping tools etc. Her level of professionalism makes us feel so comfortable and we completely trust her. Not only does she leave us feeling brand new when she's done, but she also accesses us as she's working and gives us exercises to do on our own. I love it because she is truly trying to heal people not just keep them as clients. She follows up with us and asks if we are doing our "homework" because she cares. I would refer her to anybody I come across! The BEST out there hands down!
