Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you accept insurance?

We are a specialized out-of-network physical therapy service where our therapists provide one-on-one personalized sessions. This allows us to provide treatment based upon your needs and are not subject to insurance limitations that are commonly found in traditional physical therapy models. If applicable, we can provide you with documentation that you can submit to your insurance for potential proceeds to your out-of-pocket deductible.

  • Why would I want to go out-of-network?

“Out-of-network” services may appear to be more expensive at first, but some insurance plans have large copays and high deductibles where the total cost of services for the duration of treatment may actually be more. By providing one-on-one sessions with a therapist (no aides), you may be finished with treatment in a shorter amount of sessions than the traditional model.

You can also start treatment right away as opposed to waiting for a referral or long waitlists.

  • Do you accept Medicare?

Medicare does not reimburse for out-of-network PT costs, therefore, we are not able to accept Medicare benefits for physical therapy services.

  • What are your service areas?

We currently offer our services to patients within Palo Alto, Los Altos, and Mountain View, but we hope to expand to other cities in the near future!

Our treatment takes place in the comfort of your home, or a mutually agreed upon location such as a gym / office / etc.

  • What forms of payments do you accept?

We accept the following forms of payment:

    • Cash, Check, Credit

    • Mobile payments such as Venmo, Zelle, and PayPal

    • FSA / HSA cards

  • Do I need a referral to see a physical therapist for physical therapy?

California is a “direct access” state, which means you don’t need a physician’s referral to see a physical therapist for physical therapy treatment, as long as it doesn’t exceed 45 days of treatment or 12 visits, whichever comes first. At that time, you’ll just need a note from your doctor to continue treatment.

For other non-physical therapy services that are offered, there is no restriction or referrals needed.

  • When can I start? I was told I was to be put on a waitlist.

Call or email us for a consultation today. We strive to be able to provide top quality service to our current clients and may be temporarily limited in availability to new clients. If you were added on the waitlist, it is best to provide multiple time ranges so we can get you on the schedule as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to maintain our standards of giving personalized and exceptional care to all our members.
